The story of how the picture on the front of my new book came to be was a roller-coaster ride with enthusiastic high fives and disappointing loss, the testing of our faith and the realization that everything would be okay, even when it wasn’t - all in less than twelve hours...

Someone left a package for Indiana just before Christmas. I'm not sure who sent the gift, but one thing's for sure, they were incredibly thoughtful...  

A couple months ago, for a week in October, we moved our Wednesday morning "porch time" a little farther west than Muletown. Actually a lot farther west... to Montana.  

It's the first day of 2018 and Indy and I woke up to frozen water pipes.  Again...

...I was nervous about stepping back on stage again without Joey by my side.  Afraid that it would feel wrong to keep singing and sharing without her, and even more afraid that it might feel right.   

This past weekend fifty or more people showed up with hammers and saws and hearts full of love to help build something big for someone little....

On September 8 and 9th, the weekend of my sweet bride's birthday, I'm going to play two shows in the concert hall in our barn.  All the money made from ticket sales will go to a wonderful organization that has helped our family...

...and there I was outside of a busy downtown restaurant, walking in circles with my cellphone in my hand, crying like a baby, listening to this story.
